Terms of use

These terms apply to your use of bottleprinting.co.za and any enquiry sent through the site. By using the site, you accept these terms as they stand for Bottle Printing Co., operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd.

1. Using this website and the information on it

The site is provided for business use by wineries, distilleries, event organisers and corporate gifting teams that need decorated bottles or drinkware. Content on product methods, decoration options, artwork support and service areas is general information and may change when materials, print areas, bottle shapes or production conditions change.

You may not use the site in a way that disrupts it, interferes with its security, copies content for resale, or misrepresents Bottle Printing Co. or Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd. Any unauthorised scraping, framing, automated extraction or false enquiry activity is not permitted.

2. Artwork, proofs and print-ready files

Artwork submitted for UV direct print, screen printing, ceramic enamel, labels or related bottle decoration work must be legible, lawful and suitable for the chosen substrate. Colour can shift on glass, coated drinkware, clear bottles, coloured bottles and metallic or white ink layers, so proof artwork and placement checks are part of the normal process before a run is approved.

  • You remain responsible for ownership of logos, text, images and brand marks supplied to us.
  • We may adjust file setup, bleed, safe areas, curves, trapping or white underlayers where needed for production.
  • Mock-up visuals and proofs are for approval of layout, not a guarantee of exact final appearance on every item.

3. Short runs, minimums and product suitability

Minimum runs vary by method, decoration area, bottle shape, drinkware type and setup work. Some jobs suit labels, while others suit direct print or enamel decoration better, especially where the finish, curvature or coating affects adhesion and legibility. We may decline artwork or product choices that are technically unsuitable or likely to produce poor results.

Glass, ceramic and other drinkware can carry different tolerances for heat, handling, washing and surface finish. Where a run is approved, the final specification will follow the production notes agreed for that order, including packaging instructions and any colour guidance discussed during setup.

4. Orders, approvals and changes after sign-off

An order is treated as confirmed only after the relevant details have been approved, including artwork, quantities, print method, finish and packing brief. Once proof approval is given, later changes may not be possible without extra cost or delay, especially where plates, screens, artwork setup or print files have already been prepared.

  • Any change to bottle type, size, colour, print area or quantity can affect the job.
  • Revised artwork may require a new proof and fresh setup work.
  • We may request written approval before production starts on a short run or a repeat run with changes.

5. Delivery across South Africa and transfer of risk

Delivery can be arranged to areas such as Paarl, Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Somerset West, Constantia, Johannesburg and Durban, with wider South African coverage by arrangement. Delivery dates are estimates only and depend on production status, courier handling, weather, access details and the condition of the goods at dispatch.

Risk passes when goods leave our control for collection or dispatch, unless a different written arrangement has been agreed. Please inspect cartons and goods on arrival and note any visible damage, shortages or packing issues as soon as possible so the matter can be assessed against the dispatch record.

6. Liability, legal limits and governing law

Bottle Printing Co. and Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd are not liable for losses caused by inaccurate artwork, weak source files, incorrect product selections, poor storage, misuse after delivery or changes made outside the approved brief. As far as South African law permits, any liability on our side is capped at the price of the affected goods or services supplied for that order.

South African law governs these terms and any dispute about them. Should a court find one provision of these terms unenforceable, all other provisions remain in force. When you use the site after updates are posted, the revised terms apply to that use.
